Nurelium Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 June 2026

Nurelium is a private health companion app developed and operated by Tobistech Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Nurelium app collects, how it is used and how your health data is protected.

1. About Nurelium

Nurelium is operated by Tobistech Ltd, a UK-registered technology company. The app is available on iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store).

Developer: Tobistech Ltd
Country: United Kingdom
Contact: contact@tobistech.co.uk

Nurelium is designed as a personal health companion for guidance and note-taking. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

2. Our core privacy principle

Everything stays on your device.

All health data you enter (symptoms, medication schedules, journal entries and notes) is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to any server, shared with any third party or accessible to Tobistech Ltd, unless you explicitly export and share a visit report.

No account or sign-up is required to use Nurelium. We cannot access your data because we never receive it.

3. Information we collect

Health data: stored on your device only

The following data is created and stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

  • -Symptom journal entries (symptom, severity, trigger, notes, date).
  • -Medication reminder schedules (name, dose, times, days, duration).
  • -Medication adherence records (taken, skipped, snoozed).
  • -Saved symptom check results and notes.
  • -Condition bookmarks and recently viewed items.
  • -Family profile names and associated health records (Plus only).
  • -App preferences, notification settings and daily check-in time.

Analytics data (anonymised)

To diagnose technical issues and understand how the app is used, we collect:

  • -Crash reports and error logs, anonymised and with no health content.
  • -App usage events (e.g. which screens are opened, feature interactions), collected in aggregate without personally identifiable information.
  • -Device type, operating system version and app version.

This analytics data does not include any health content, symptom entries, medication details or journal notes. It cannot be used to identify you as an individual.

Subscription data

Nurelium Plus subscriptions are purchased and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Tobistech does not receive or store your payment information. Subscription status is verified locally via the device's receipt validation system.

4. How we use information

  • -To deliver the core features of Nurelium, including the symptom checker, condition library, medication reminders and journal.
  • -To send local medication reminder notifications (only when you have enabled them).
  • -To generate visit reports from your on-device journal, medication and symptom check data (Plus only, exported only when you initiate it).
  • -To diagnose and fix technical bugs and crashes using anonymised analytics.
  • -To improve the app based on anonymised aggregate usage patterns.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell, rent or share personal health data with any third party for any commercial purpose.

5. Health data: special category

Health and symptom information is considered sensitive personal data under UK GDPR. Nurelium is designed specifically to ensure this data never leaves your device:

  • -Your symptom journal, medication records and check results are processed entirely on-device.
  • -Visit reports are generated on-device and shared only when you explicitly initiate a share action.
  • -We do not profile users based on health data, sell health data or use it for any purpose other than powering the features you use.

6. Notifications

Medication reminders are delivered as local notifications, scheduled and triggered entirely on your device with no server involvement. If you grant notification permission, the app uses it only to deliver medication alerts. We do not send marketing push notifications.

You can manage or revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.

7. Third-party services

Nurelium uses the following third-party services:

  • -Firebase (Google): anonymised crash reporting and analytics. Health data is never included in crash reports. Firebase's own privacy policy applies to this data.
  • -Apple App Store / Google Play: subscription purchase and management. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple or Google and are not accessible to Tobistech.
  • -Public health sources: condition library content is drawn from MedlinePlus, NHS A to Z and CDC. These are reference sources, not integrated services. No user data is sent to them.

8. Data retention and deletion

On-device data is retained until you delete the app, clear the app data in your device settings, or delete specific entries within the app.

Because data is stored on your device and not on our servers, Tobistech cannot delete on-device data on your behalf. To remove your data, delete the app or use the data management options within app settings.

If you have contacted us by email and want that correspondence deleted, email contact@tobistech.co.uk and we will process the request within 30 days.

Anonymised analytics data (crash reports, usage events) cannot be deleted on a per-user basis because it contains no personal identifier.

9. Your rights (UK GDPR)

As a UK-based company we operate under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where we hold any personal data about you (such as support email correspondence), you have the right to:

  • -Access: request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • -Rectification: request correction of inaccurate data.
  • -Erasure: request deletion of personal data we hold.
  • -Restriction: request that we limit how we process your data.
  • -Portability: receive data we hold in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • -Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise these rights, email contact@tobistech.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

10. Children's privacy

Nurelium is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe your child has entered personal data into the app, it remains on their device and can be cleared by deleting the app or clearing its data. If you need further assistance, contact us at contact@tobistech.co.uk.

Users aged 13–17 should use the app with parental awareness.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any data associated with your use of Nurelium. For on-device data, the security of your device itself is the primary protection layer, so we encourage you to use a device passcode or biometric lock. No method of storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Where changes are material, we will update users within the app. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
