Bible Habit Terms of Use
Last updated: 21 October 2026
These terms apply when you download or use Bible Habit. Please read them, especially the sections on Premium (section 4) and Bible AI (section 5). By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Bible Habit.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Tobistech Ltd, the company that makes Bible Habit (“we” or “us”). Our details are at the end of these terms.
The terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play also apply to your download and to any purchases. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
2. Using Bible Habit
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Bible Habit on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use and in line with the rules of the store you got it from.
You don’t need an account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Bible Habit. If you are under 18, please use it with the permission of a parent or guardian, who must make or approve any purchases.
3. Free features and Premium
Bible Habit is free to download. The free version includes the Bible, reading plans, notes, read aloud, streaks and badges, and a limited number of Bible AI questions each day.
Bible Habit Premium is optional. It currently adds unlimited Bible AI and conversations with Bible figures, a monthly Streak Freeze with room to hold two, and the option to restore a broken streak the day after you miss. The app shows exactly what Premium includes before you buy.
We keep improving Bible Habit, so features can change. We won’t remove a main Premium feature during a period you have already paid for, unless we have to for legal, security or technical reasons.
4. Subscriptions, Lifetime and payment
- -Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and can vary by country.
- -Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- -Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends, at the price in effect at that time.
- -You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you cancel, Premium stays on until the end of the period you have paid for.
- -If we offer a free trial, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- -If a subscription price goes up, Apple or Google will tell you in advance and, where their rules require it, ask you to agree.
- -Lifetime is a single payment with no renewals. It gives you Premium for as long as we offer Bible Habit and Premium on your platform. It belongs to the Apple ID or Google account you bought it with, and it can’t be moved between Apple and Google devices.
- -To use Premium on a new phone, sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account and tap Restore purchases in the app.
- -Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and we can’t issue them ourselves. You can ask for a refund from Apple or Google Play.
5. Bible AI and Bible figures
Bible AI is a helpful tool, not an authority
Bible AI’s answers are generated by a computer model running on your phone. They can be incomplete, out of context or simply wrong, and they are not Scripture. Conversations with Bible figures are imagined: they are written by AI from the biblical text, they are not the real words of those people, and they are not prophecy or revelation. Always check what you read against the Bible itself, and talk to your pastor, priest or a trusted, mature believer about important questions of faith.
- -Bible AI is not medical, mental health, legal, financial or other professional advice. Please don’t rely on it for decisions in those areas.
- -If you are struggling or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services or a support line straight away. In the UK and Ireland, you can call Samaritans free on 116 123. In the US, you can call or text 988.
- -Please don’t present Bible AI’s answers as Scripture, or as the words of a real person.
- -Your conversations stay on your phone. We don’t see them and can’t review them.
6. Bible translations
The Bible translations in the app are either in the public domain or owned by their publishers. Each translation’s copyright notice is shown in the app, in Settings under Translations and copyright. Including a translation in Bible Habit doesn’t give you any rights in it, so if you copy or share text from a copyrighted translation, please follow its publisher’s rules on quoting.
We take care to show the text accurately. If you spot a mistake, please let us know.
7. Your content
The notes, highlights, reflections and plans you create belong to you. They are stored on your phone, and we don’t have access to them.
You are responsible for keeping a backup, which you can make in the app. We can’t recover your content if you delete the app or lose your phone without one. You are also responsible for anything you choose to share with other people.
8. Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- -use Bible Habit for anything unlawful, harmful or misleading;
- -copy, modify, reverse-engineer or decompile the app, except where the law allows it;
- -try to get around the daily question limit, purchase checks or other protections;
- -extract the Bible texts, the AI model or other content from the app to redistribute them, or use the app commercially without our written permission;
- -use the app, or anything it produces, to harass, deceive or impersonate anyone.
9. Our intellectual property
Bible Habit, including its design, code, text, reading plans and branding, belongs to Tobistech Ltd or our licensors. Bible Habit is a brand name of Tobistech Ltd. The app also includes third-party software and an AI model, which are used under their own licences.
10. Updates and availability
We may update Bible Habit to fix problems, improve features or meet store and legal requirements. You may need to install some updates to keep using the app or Premium.
We aim to keep Bible Habit available, but we can’t promise it will always work without interruptions or errors. We may stop offering Bible Habit or Premium in the future. If we do, we will give reasonable notice in the app where we can.
11. Our responsibility to you
Bible Habit is provided “as is”. As a consumer, you have legal rights if digital content is faulty or not as described, and nothing in these terms affects them. Beyond those rights, we don’t promise that the app, its reading plans or Bible AI’s answers will be free of errors, complete or suitable for a particular purpose.
We are not responsible for:
- -losses that weren’t foreseeable, or business losses;
- -loss of content you didn’t back up;
- -decisions you make based on Bible AI’s answers;
- -reminders that don’t arrive because of your phone’s settings.
Where we are responsible, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before your claim, or £10 if you haven’t paid anything.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law.
12. Apple App Store and Google Play
These terms are between you and Tobistech Ltd, not Apple or Google. We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for Bible Habit and its content.
If you downloaded Bible Habit from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and you agree that:
- -your licence is limited to using the app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the App Store terms;
- -Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- -if the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app;
- -Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it doesn’t meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection claims;
- -if anyone claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim;
- -you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- -Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
If you downloaded Bible Habit from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
13. Ending these terms
You can stop using Bible Habit at any time by deleting it. Remember to cancel any subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings, because deleting the app doesn’t cancel it.
We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we do, we will explain why where we can.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the app or the law changes, and we will change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or in the release notes before it applies. If you keep using Bible Habit after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.
15. Law and disputes
If you have a problem with Bible Habit, please contact us first so we can try to put it right.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim there. If you live in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
