BibleHabit is a faith-based Bible habit and engagement app developed and operated by Tobistech Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains what information the BibleHabit app collects, how it is used and how your privacy is protected.

BibleHabit is operated by Tobistech Ltd, a UK-registered technology company. The app is available on iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store).

2. Information we collect
BibleHabit is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data to operate the app effectively:
Data stored on your device
- -Your reading habit progress, streaks and personal Bible engagement data.
- -App preferences and notification settings.
- -Reading plan selections and bookmarks.
This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud backup or account sync features.
Analytics data (anonymised)
- -App usage events (e.g. features used, session frequency) - collected anonymously to help us improve the app.
- -Crash reports and error logs to diagnose and fix technical issues.
- -Device type, operating system version and app version.
Account data (if applicable)
- -If you create an account, we may collect your email address to authenticate your account and sync your progress.
- -If you sign in via Apple or Google, we receive only the information those services make available (typically an identifier and, optionally, your email address).
3. How we use your information
- -To deliver and improve the core functionality of the BibleHabit app.
- -To send habit reminders and notifications (only if you have enabled them).
- -To understand how the app is being used so we can improve features.
- -To identify and fix bugs and technical issues.

We do not use your data to serve targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Faith and religious data
BibleHabit is a faith-based app and your use of it inherently reflects your religious practices and beliefs. We treat this with the utmost respect and discretion:
- -Your personal Bible reading progress and habit data is stored locally on your device.
- -We do not share or sell faith-related personal data with any third party for marketing, profiling or advertising purposes.
- -Any anonymised analytics we collect do not identify you as an individual or reveal your specific religious practices.
5. Third-party services
BibleHabit may use the following third-party services to help operate the app:
- -Firebase (Google) - used for analytics, crash reporting and, if enabled, account authentication and data sync.
- -Apple Push Notification Service / Firebase Cloud Messaging - used to deliver habit reminders.
- -Apple / Google Sign-In - optional authentication providers.
These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. We only use these services in ways that are consistent with this Privacy Policy.
6. Data retention and deletion
On-device data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear the app data through your device settings.
If you have an account, you may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at contact@tobistech.co.uk. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Anonymised analytics data does not identify you and cannot be deleted on a per-user basis.
7. Your rights (UK GDPR)
If you are based in the UK or EEA, you have the right to:
- -Access the personal data we hold about you.
- -Request correction of inaccurate data.
- -Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- -Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
- -Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Children's privacy
BibleHabit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided personal data through the app, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Users aged 13–17 should use the app with parental awareness and consent.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data associated with your use of BibleHabit. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. We will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users within the app. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
